A Massive Dust Storm Engulfs the City of Phoenix July 15, 2012 and Surrounding areas. This is a dust storm not a Haboob. Technically Haboobs only happen in Africa but in Phoenix the weather forecasters use the term haboob to describe the monsoon dust storms so it kind of stuck in my brain so sorry if there is confusion. These massive dust storms are usually always followed by rain.
